Topic and talks

The end of 2019 marks the halfway between the second and third data taking periods at the Large Hadron Collider. On this occasion the Particle Physics Committee of the Roland Eötvös Physical Society plans to have a School on the status and future of particle physics, focusing on the established experimental observations both at the energy, the intensity and the cosmological frontiers. We also intend to discuss two new experimental observations from Hungary attracting significant attention world-wide. The following topics will be covered.

• Status of particle physics
• Standard Model Effective Field Theory (SMEFT)
• Group theory of SM extensions
• Composite Higgs models
• Super-weak force
• Particle Hunters' Guide: how to discover or exclude a BSM model at the LHC
• Hints for new physics from SM precision measurements: experimental investigation
• Searches for SUSY and SUSY phenomenlogy at the LHC
• Effective approach to neutrino interactions and leptogenesis
• Neutrino mass models
• Neutrino dark matter
• Electroweak Baryogenesis
• Particle physics model of inflation
• Cosmology
• Observation of the odderon
